VNUK++ Youth Coding Club (or VNUK++ for short) was founded to provide kids with problem-solving skills in programming including:
- Understanding and analysing the problem;
- Using appropriate data structures to build good algorithms to solve the problem;
- Using C++ (a programming language) to implement the algorithms.
These skills are critical for Software Engineers. In fintech, banks, and high tech companies, like MAMAA (i.e., Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet), engineers are mainly recruited based on problem solving skills rather than expertise on specific technologies.
Pupils who do not progress to Software Engineer as a career choice would benefit significantly from a comprehensive understanding of software technology, or computer-related products.
We build the objective and target based on:
- The Perse Coding Team Challenge (PCTC)
- The objectives of well-known competitions in computer programming, such as:
- British Informatics Olympiad (BIO)
- USA Computing Olympiad (USACO)
- International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)
- The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC)
- Our own working experience in high-tech companies and banks
Having a solid foundation in these skills will enable kids to easily learn any other programming languages, technologies, or products.
