Setting up a HackerRank account

Create an Account

The most convenient way is to connect with a Google account.

1. Open the Sign Up page.
2. On the Sign up page, click on the Continue with Google button to sign up using your Google account.
3. Choose your Google account to be used on HackerRank.
4. After a few seconds, it should be done, and you will be redirected to the Dashboard page.

Get the Username

To get the Hacker Rank username, follow these steps:

1. Open the Account Access page.
2. Click the Login button in the For Developers section.
3. If you have already signed up, you will be redirected to the Dashboard page.
4. In the top right corner, click on the human icon and choose Profile.
5. You will be redirected to your Profile page.
6. Look at the URL (e.g., https://www.hackerrank.com/profile/nam123), your username is at the end (e.g., nam123).

Change the Display name

To change your display name, follow these steps:

1. Open the Account Access page.
2. Click the Login button in the For Developers section.
3. If you have already signed up, you will be redirected to the Dashboard page.
4. In the top right corner, click on the human icon and choose Profile.
5. You will be redirected to your Profile page.
6. In the top left part of the page (the part with your full name), click on the pencil icon to change your First name and Last name.
